YOUTH FOR CHRIST - WICHITA’s staff and volunteers work in four YFC ministry branches: CAMPUS LIFE, CITY LIFE, JUVENILE JUSTICE, and TEEN PARENTS. We also offer young people the opportunity to participate in special events such as YFC CAMP, PROJECT SERVE mission trips, and DCLA youth conferences.
YFC - Wichita is a community team player, partnering with non-profits, businesses, churches, and government agencies on behalf of young people. We are a not-for-profit organization and are funded through the generosity of local churches and people with a heart for lost and hurting teens.
The YFC Campus Life ministry combines healthy relationships with creative programs to help senior high young people make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their schools.
The purpose of City Life is to help young people develop attitudes and behavior patterns that allow them to function more constructively in society.
The YFC Teen Parents ministry connects trained adults with pregnant girls and teenage parents in programs designed to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation, not only in their lives, but also in the lives of their babies.
The YFC Youth Guidance ministry - through institutional, juvenile justice, or social service agency contacts - connects trained adults with young people to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation in life.
YOUTH FOR CHRIST’s vision is, as a part of the body of Christ, to see every young person in every people group in every nation have the opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of Jesus Christ and to become a part of a local church. Because the needs and longings of young people are unique to their time, place, and life experience, Youth for Christ always seeks to share the Good News about Jesus in a way that is relevant to them.
